SUMMARY:YM Link On the Road - Montgomery
DESCRIPTION:YM Link is providing three opportunities for practical\, intensive training that can greatly impact your ministry. The goal is to train and equip youth ministers and their leaders with a focus on their specialization. We will meet in three locations across the state. This will also be a great time of networking with other youth ministry workers. \nThis year’s speakers are Ricky Smith\, Lead Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus\, GA\, and Josh Meadows\, Alabama Baptist Youth Ministry Strategist. Ricky will be speaking about professionalism in youth ministry while Josh will talk about personal development. \nRegister  \n\nRicky Smith \n \nRicky Smith received a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Bryan College\, in Dayton\, Tennessee. He holds a Masters degree in Theology from Liberty Baptist Seminary\, and he holds a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Emmanuel Theological Seminary. \nCurrently\, Ricky serves at the Lead Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbus\, Georgia and provides leadership to the multi-faceted ministry with a commitment to make disciples in the Chattahoochee Valley and to the ends of the earth. Ricky continues to train and equip Nextgen leaders through a national conference and is active in the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes campus and camp ministry. \n  \nJosh Meadows \n \nJosh serves as the student ministry strategist in the Office of Collegiate & Student Ministries for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. Josh has been in ministry for 20 years\, serving as a youth and children’s pastor\, a youth pastor\, lead pastor of a church plant and a family pastor before being called to serve at the State Board of Missions. He is an avid sports fan. His teams are the Braves\, Falcons\, and the Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech. \nJosh graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries in 2002. He completed his M.A. in church leadership at Luther Rice University in 2007.
